Derry City frustrated Cork in Tuners Cross and that result means it would be a brave man who would bet against Dundalk retaining their title and indeed the can secure that title in Tallaght when they face Rovers in two weeks time.
The other Premier League game ended 2-2 in Drogheda when Bohemians came to visit. The big news of the night was the 3-0 victory for Wexford Youths over Athlone and secured the Youths first ever Airtricity League First Division title and promotion to the Premier Division.
