Dublin pharmaceutical company to hire 100 new staff

Dublin-based pharmaceutical company APC Ltd is due to add to its staff numbers over the next two years after it opened a new research facility in Cherrywood. APC Ltd currently employs 60 people and plans to take on another 100 in high skilled areas like analytics and chemical engineering over two years.

APC Ltd was founded by doctor Mark Barrett and professor Brian Glennon in 2011 and aims to accelerate the development and launch of new medicines for pharmaceutical companies to help bring them to market.

Chief executive Mark Barrett told The Journal:

“We are looking for sophisticated R&D positions, 80% of our staff have a PhD qualification at a minimum (so) we are looking to recruit the best and brightest. The jobs will be hired over the next 18 months to two years.”
