Failte Ireland have launched a new Festival Support Fund to help new Innovative Festivals with the potential to become part of Ireland’s exciting festivals and events calendar.
This new fund “What’s the Big Idea?” is designed to support the development of innovative ideas for new festivals and participative events that will appeal to target visitors segments with the potential to attract international visitors and deliver on some of Ireland’s newest destination brands – Wild Atlantic Way, Irelands Ancient East and Dublin, a breath of fresh air. Festivals can take place off season and the use of digital technology effectively is encouraged.
Successful ideas will receive support from Failte Ireland in the sum of €5k to €10k, to explore the viability of the idea and its potential to become a reality. The money can be put towards feasibility studies, research, learning journeys and accessing expert advice. Failte Ireland will also be available to work with successful applicants to determine the supports they require.
The closing date for receipt of ideas is 12.00pm on Tuesday June 7th, 2016.
