The Irish Mirror have today reported that the rumoured transfer could fetch Shamrock Rovers a minimum €500,000. There is no doubting Clarke is in demand and anyone who has witnessed his season so far will understand exactly why there is so much hype around the youngster right now.
Social media has seen may opinions on where Clarke will go but also for what fee too. Jason O’Connor said on Twitter today;
Southampton’s bid for Trevor Clarke is nowhere near the £1M being reported. Its more like €180k. Sheff Utd, Everton and West Ham interested.

Roy O’Donovan’s €500,000 move from Cork City to Sunderland in 2007 remains the record transfer fee for a League of Ireland club. As always many clubs have now been linked to Clarke who has played left back, left wing and right wing this season.
Back in March, Shamrock Rovers boss Stephen Bradley predicted that Clarke would play for the Irish senior team.
