Luas may run Late Night Trains on The Red Line

There may be some good news in store for red-line  Luas users this week, as plans to extend the services on the Luas Red Line ahead of the Christmas Period were revealed.

Last year, Luas ran late night services on the Luas Green Line, and local representatives called for the same extension of services to be applied to the Red Line this year. It is believed that the plans are being put in place to see if there is a demand for the service.

The proposal will be put before Transport Infrastructure Ireland in the coming days to see if the move will be given the go-ahead, and a decision is expected very soon.
