New Ryanair routes to Dublin to boost tourism

Tourism Ireland has welcomed Ryanair’s announcement of a new route from Amsterdam, commencing on October 27th.

Ryanair are also implementing extra flights on routes from other important tourism markets like Germany (Berlin), Spain (Barcelona and Madrid), Italy (Treviso), Belgium (Brussels) and Britain (London Gatwick, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and East Midlands.

Niall Gibbons, CEO of Tourism Ireland, said: “The introduction of the new Ryanair service from Amsterdam to Dublin, as well as extra flights on routes from cities is fantastic news; they will certainly expand travel options for European and British holidaymakers who wish to visit Ireland in 2016.”

Gibbons said that Tourism Ireland have seen very welcome growth of almost +13% in visitors from Mainland Europe and +10% from Britain for the first seven months of 2015 and they are working hard to ensure that Ireland increases its share of the global travel business this autumn, in 2016 and beyond.
