Local man Paddy Holohan is back with a bang next weekend as he opens his latest project here in Tallaght – his new gym.
On Sunday next 30th July Paddy will officially open the doors to Straight Blast Gym D24.
The open day will commence at 1pm and visitors of all ages are welcomed for a family filled day of bouncy castles, BBQ and much more.
Paddy Holohan competed as a professional MMA fighter from 2007 until his retirement in 2016. Since retiring, he has focused mainly on coaching leading him to open his own gym.
Straight Blast Gym D24, just under 10,000sq ft., will be over two floors and caters for people of all ages and skill levels. SBG D24 will feature classes to include Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Muay Thai/ K1 and MMA. The gym will also feature a strength and conditioning area.
When asked about what Paddy’s plans are for the future with his latest venture he said;
‘’My Goal is to create a community within a community. Somewhere where you can be physical and social’’
‘’I want you to step out of your comfort zone, with others who have stepped out of theirs’’
