RSA warn of text message scam

The Road Safety Authority has issued a warning over a text messaging scam.

Texts claiming to come from the RSA’s National Driver Licence Service which contain a link to a website seeking personal identity and banking details, have been brought to the authority’s attention by members of the public.

The RSA has issued a statement informing those who receive any unsolicited text message to delete them and to contact their financial institutions.

The RSA is working closely with the Gardaí and the Competition & Consumer Protection Commission with regard to the text messages.
