Snapchat’s latest update allows you to zoom in with a simple swipe of the finger

Good news for snapchatters! The zoom function has just got easier, thanks to Snapchat’s latest update.

The previous versions of the popular social app allowed users to pinch zoom with one hand while keeping the other on the capture button (which, by the way, you can still do if you are used to it).

But the new function is a bit easier – because it comes with a one-handed zoom feature that allows you to zoom in with a simple swipe of the finger from the recording button.

Bear in mind you must have at least Snapchat version 9.3 or later to use the new one-handed zooming mode. Here’s how it works:

1. Tap and hold the large circular button at the bottom to start recording on Snapchat

2. To zoom in, drag your finger up and away from the capture button while recording

3. To zoom out move it down and closer to the recording button.

It’s an 85MB download, so make sure you have enough space on your phone to install the update!
