Yesterday we brought you the news that The Primary Healthcare Centre located at Tallaght Cross would open its first services to the public in 2016.
The official news came after a statement was released in the Irish Medical Times announcing that the care centre is due for completion in June this year and it is anticipated that following completion of the construction works, the facility will be ready for occupation in August.
It also mentioned the work on the proposed PCC on the Greenhills Road;
“Planning work is also continuing in relation to the proposed PCC on the Greenhills Road — the current time frame for completion of which is January 2017”.
The centre will cover a number of services in the area including community nurses, network physiotherapy and occupational therapy services, regional audiology and adult and paediatric services.
We at InTallaght spoke to South Dublin Mayor Sarah Holland today on the news of the official opening of the Primary Healthcare Centre and she told us she was delighted with the news;
“I welcome the centre as it is a much needed amenity in the community, and I am delighted that it will provide employment for the wider community”.
