Star of 50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy wins Emmy

Baz Ashmawy’s Mammy Nancy and star of 50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy was awarded an Emmy last night in New York. The show was nominated and won the Best Non-Scripted Entertainment award at the 67th Gala ceremony.

According to RTÉ, Baz and Nancy celebrated by going for chicken wings in an Irish bar. Baz spoke to The Ryan Tubridy Show on RTÉ Radio 1 about the win:

“She [Nancy] put it very well, she said as soon as they mentioned that 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy was the one that won, she said she didn’t remember anything, that it was like floating. Then we went up onto the stage and said words and spoke to a crowd of very sophisticated television people from all around the world, and she nailed it, I’m just so proud of her to be honest.”

50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy is in its second season and broadcasts on Sky.
