Two women arrested in connection with stabbing of Reece Cullen

Gardai have confirmed that two women, both aged in their 30s, were arrested after 7am this morning in Tallaght.

Both are currently being detained at Tallaght Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939/98.

Reece (16), from Bawnlea Crescent in Jobstown, died on January 5 after he was attacked near his home.

The teenager was rushed to Tallaght Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

A post-mortem examination found Reece suffered one stab wound to the heart when he was attacked.

Following the fatal stabbing the young man was discovered by a neighbour bleeding to death at the foot of a staircase.
