Celtic set to face Ajax and Fenerbahce in Europa League group

Celtic crashing out of the Champions League wont seem too bad this year as their opposition in the Europa League sees some interesting fixtures.

The hoops have the prospect of facing Robin van Persie and Nani’s new side Fenerbahce plus Dutch side Ajax in their group. They also face a tie with Norwegian side Molde which will see the Scottish Champions kept busy right up to Christmas.

Today’s draw also saw Liverpool grouped with Bordeaux from France and FC Sion of Switzerland. Spurs also face an interesting round of fixtures from Qarabag to Anderlecht and then Monaco from the French league.

The first match day will take place on 17 September.
