IKEA are opening a new store on the South Side!

Scandinavian home store IKEA is due to open a new premises on the South side this summer! For those of you who resent having to pay the M50 toll twice to go shopping, this is great news.

The new 15,000 sq ft building will open its first “Order and Collection Point” in Carrickmines, however it will be a scaled down version and won’t carry the full range of products as in the Ballymun store. Instead customers can order from the full range to take home from the collection point or for delivery to their home.

However there will be a small range of products available to buy in store. The new IKEA will create 30 new jobs for Dublin and is part of a trial by the company to make the store more accessible to customers.

IKEA opened their flagship store here in 2009.
