Despite issues with the size of the stages available in Ireland for their indoor show configuration of  their Innocence + Experience shows, the band have confirmed two shows in Belfast and four in Dublin.

The band will play in the SSE Arena (formally the Odyssey) in Belfast on 18 and 19 November before the come home for no less that four nights at the 3Arena in Dublin on the 23, 24, 27 and 28 November.

Tickets for the shows go on sale at 9am on Monday next 14 November and will be limited to two per person.

“It is the first time the band will perform songs from their recent album Songs of Innocence to a home crowd,” a U2 spokeswoman said.

The album which was released last year tells the story of the lads  experiences growing up in the Dublin influenced by 70s rock, punk and early 80s electronica.
